Heart of Midlothian Notebook

Located on the Royal Mile in Edinburgh, the Heart of Midlothian marks the site of the Old Tollbooth building, which once served as the capital's prison. Known as a site of punishment and injustice, the Tollbooth had a dark reputation and is woven into the fabric of Edinburgh's somewhat gory history. The Edinburgh football club Hearts, founded in 1874, was, of course, named after it too!

This notebook is inspired by this poignant reminder of Edinburgh's past and is coloured in a deep maroon that matches the jerseys of the football team, as well as featuring patterned stripes that represent us—Paper Tiger!
