Paper Tiger, 194-196 Morningside Rd, Edinburgh, EH10 4TD

Our Morningside Road shop is located in one of the most well known suburbs of the city. Morningside is an extensive residential area, with a diverse collection of independent retailers, cafes and restaurants that thrive alongside established High St names like Waitrose, Marks & Spencer and Pizza Express. It is also home to our very good friends at Studio One Furniture, who have been in the area for decades.
We are on the doorstep of the Pentland Hills, and surrounded by open spaces like the Astley Ainslie and Braidburn Valley Park. Our neighbours include the famous Dominion Cinema, Maisie The Cat, and Miss Jean Brodie. We even have cowboys round the back of our shop. The history of the neighbourhood spans centuries: we are just down the road from the 200 year old schoolhouse. Just up the hill, the Bore Stone supposedly commemorates the Battle Of Flodden. The Proclaimers found love in Morningside in 1988.
ON FOOT - This Paper Tiger shop is located on the corner of Morningside Road and Spingvalley Gardens.
BY BIKE - bike racks at Studio One, Waitrose, and outside the library which is next door but one to us.
ON PUBLIC TRANSPORT - Multiple Lothian Bus Routes pass through Morningside. The 11, 15, 16 and 36 services all stop close to the shop.
BY CAR - If you need to travel by car, private vehicles can use on street parking bays on side streets throughout the area.
The shop trades on the corner ground floor level of a four storey Victorian tenement block. Our Morningside Road shop has a wide selection of cards, stationery and wrap products, an excellent choice of Scottish made cards, stationery and gifts. We stock an extensive array of Jellycat soft toys, a wide array of tempting chocolate treats for gifting or for your own use(!), and we have an extensive collection of official Catherine Rayner cards, prints, baby wear, and books available in store.
Our Paper Tiger store at this location opened in May 2023. Paper Tiger has traded in Edinburgh since 1981, and was originally part of the Studio One group of companies. Studio One began trading in Edinburgh in 1966 - but if you read this far and know Morningside, you will be very familiar with our old friends further along the Road!
