Asterix
Asterix, along with his best friend Obelix, is a timeless hero. Created by writer René Goscinny and illustrator Albert Uderzo, Asterix and Obelix and their fantastic adventures made their debut in 1959 when they were printed as comics strips in the French magazine Pilote. Since then the charming and funny characters from the Gaul Village have made their way into volume format as well as the hearts and minds of readers around the globe, with 35 volumes being printed into 111 different languages, eight illustrated text stories, and five feature films!
