Traditional advent calendars 2022 don't have to be old fashioned. Here at Paper Tiger we are breathing new life into paper advent calendars by focusing on innovation illustrations of traditional advent scenes.

These new advent calendars for 2022 have both an innovative vintage style and a twist on the traditional Victorian aesthetic. It is a fine balance between nostalgia for a gone-by festive period and taking advantage of what modern stationery manufacturing and design innovation can now provide.

A great example of this is the Snow Globe advent calendar by Edinburgh based illustrator and designer Alice Melvin. Designed for Art Angels this four sided advent depicts four different types of birds including a robin, a long-tailed tit, a chaffinch and a waxwing. This is a great mix of modern stationery and traditional illustration design.
