I grew up with the Peanuts Gang. Most of us grew up with the Peanuts Gang.

The comic strip created by Charles M Schulz has been syndicated around the world since 1950, and the spin offs have been extensive. So has the merchandise. As a result, Charlie Brown and his pals are instantly recognisable.

It is Charlie's dog - a beagle called Snoopy - that steals the show. The boy and his dog are at the heart of the stories that Schulz told, and they resonate through the decades because they told us about ourselves, as children, as adults, as friends and as human beings.

Those hopes and dreams, ambitions and intentions told in line drawings and a few short panels of a comic strip captured something universal. They usually raised a smile, and occasionally they hit upon something deeper.

That's why Snoopy still resonates today. That's why our colleague Chris jumped at the chance to paint him on the window, and that's why we have our shops and our website fully stocked with an amazing selection of that merchandise I mentioned earlier!
