4Ocean and the lasting mission to clean up our oceans Posted on 12 Sep 11:54
“We don’t plan on ever stopping. We would never want to clean up less than what is being put into the ocean.” Two surfers, Andrew Cooper and Alex Schulze, want to end ocean pollution so they started cleaning the ocean by themselves until they founded 4Ocean. This cleanup is funded through the sale of their 4Ocean Bracelet made from 100% recycled materials as every bracelet purchased funds the removal of one pound of trash from the ocean. To date they have removed over 1,000,000 pounds of trash from 16 different countries and employ Full-time captains 7 days a week cleaning both above and below the surface.
The beads in the bracelet are all made from recycled glass bottles & the cord is made from recycled plastic water bottles and attached is a stainless steel 4Ocean charm. It is a unisex design and is adjustable from two to five inches in diameter.
This global movement hopes to inspire everyone to help-out to clean the oceans by hosting clean-ups all over the world, both above and below the water, to raise awareness and change behaviour in our local communities. 4Ocean also help educate corporations, and governments on the impact of plastic on our oceans.
